Chris spoke of her journey from her work as a small child sewing with other women in her family, through to cross stitching designs form the Lilliput collection to today’s pieces. Chris still enjoys red cross stitch on white aida. She is fascinated by ancient objects and story telling. Her degree was in Ancient History and religion and it seemed a natural progression to uses ancient imagery and celtic designs in her work. Symbolism in embroidery is an important theme to Chris and this she has found in tribal work. Chris showed many images from all over Asia of both her own work and work that she has developed in her own style. Presently, Chris is moving away from large pieces to smaller more portable pieces using print blocks.
