We are a friendly, lively and active group and we celebrated our 15th Anniversary in 2014. Collectively, we have a wide range of skills and experience from those who regularly exhibit their work to occasional stitchers who like to keep abreast of what is happening in the embroidery world. We meet 11 times a year with talks by textile artists, practitioners, tutors, with a Christmas Social, and a social meeting where we stitch. Visitors are very welcome.
once a month on alternate Saturdays 2.00pm & Thursdays 7.00pm. Not August .

We are a very active branch who encourage participation in our workshops and project days as well as Exhibitions for those who are interested. You don't have to know how to stitch but an interest in the Textile Arts of all sorts is useful. You are welcome to bring your work along to our monthly Stitch Group "Sew and So".
Our branch won the Charles Gotto award only 2 years after forming. The award was given for "presenting a template of how I believe a modern branch of the Guild should conduct its affairs". 15 years later, and we hope we are still continuing in that vein.
Our branch hosted The EMREG Festival of Stitch in May 2006 when Sue Rangeley wowed us with her amazing embroidery.
We exhibit at both local venues and national shows such as the NEC, Big Textile Show, and the British Quilt and Stitch Village at Uttoxeter.
Today we have 100% of our members with email addresses and internet access, so our monthly Email Newsletters are sent to all members. Visitors and previous members on our mailing list are also kept in touch by an email reminder for every meeting.
