Invites you to
A WORKSHOP WITH ALEX HALL.
Sunday 9th JUNE 2019. 10-3.30’ish -
Sudbrooke Village Hall, Scothern Lane, Sudbrooke LN2 2QJ ~

To book, contact Sarah on: sarahlambkinsmith@outlook.com You can pay by electronic transfer.

Everyone will begin by making a pelmet Vilene z – fold accordion book (Alex will supply the Vilene at a small charge to participants) with 6 faces/pages which will become a handmade journal/memory book.
They will be able to use fabric paints and pastels to colour the Vilene as they wish or possibly cover it in fabric as Alex has done with her own journal.

Attendees need to bring a variety of found objects, papers and fabric, ephemera etc. hopefully relating to an event, holiday, trip etc. Alex will be available to help and support everyone to work at their own rate and level to create a cover piece and then go on to stitch inspiring embroidered pages to go inside the journal, producing a piece of very personal textile art full of meaning and memories.
The image is one of Alex Hall’s many memories.
