CSL Notices

It was lovely to see so many members at our meeting and welcome to new members. My target of 25 members has been achieved which is a really positive start to our first year of Crafty Stitchers Leicestershire.

There is a suggestions box in the table, please use it to put your comments or suggestions about anything you would like us to try. If you have been to any shows or workshops or done anything different, maybe from a magazine, we could try please also include those. We would also like your views on things we have planned.

We are arranging a Machine embroidery workshop for September 24th 10 to 4pm. You will need to bring your own machine, 12 people maximum and the list will be put out nearer the time.

Also please think about the print workshop on 30th April. We will be making some print blocks, practising printing on paper and fabric and then some sewing on the printed fabric in the afternoon. List is on the table.

We would like the 2023 programme complete by October as we are planning to have a stall at the Big Textile Show in October. Briony is happy to continue to plan the programme but we would like a member to help as well. It would be 3 to 4 sessions with Briony over the next couple of months finding speakers on line and in magazines and then following this up by contacting them. If you feel you might be able to help please contact myself or Briony.

Christmas competition is New Beginnings for the December meeting.

Group project information is available now, we would like it finished for the September meeting.

Please remember we are having a plant stall at May’s meeting, any cuttings or seedlings.
