By browsing through this site you will see we have a great deal to offer you by way of Talks, Workshops, Exhibitions, Events as well as being able to meet up with like minded people, where to buy products to help you create your own work or even where to go for further research.
The East Midlands Region of the Embroiderers' Guild covers Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire. In each county there are several Branches, who run their own individual programmes, on different days and at different times. To find your nearest we have provided a map with all Branches shown.
The Regional Committee also arranges several Events during the year, which, once a Member of the Embroiderers' Guild, you would be able to attend. These include our weekend Summer School, our Regional Day; a day for all interested in Embroidery and Textiles and "Kickstart" our annual inspirational education programme and exhibition.

Our New Capability Brown Exhibition is now open at Pickford's House Museum, Derby, until 24th September, 2016. This exhibition is on the 2nd floor of this house, unfortunately there is not a lift, however there is on site parking.
Alongside the 50 or so pieces relating to the Capability Brown Project, the Museum has put on display in the room next door, 3 pieces of work by Rebecca Crompton, 3 pieces by Beatrice Atkinson and one piece by Sybil Francis from their Collection. There is also a good selection of Fashion items from the time of Joseph Pickford covering both the Georgian Era (1714 -18111) and the Regency Era (1812-1830). Another treat is a replica of The Layton Jacketcreated by Katherine Newbury as a final piece for her Degree from The Arts University, Bournemouth.
