We are a friendly group of ladies who share a common interest in textiles which include hand embroidery, machine embroidery, papermaking, feltmaking and textiles from other countries. We have an extensive library and sales tables for members’ use.

Due to Covid 19 we are currently unable to meet. If you are interested, please contact the chair as we would be pleased to welcome you to our group as soon as we can restart meetings.
We meet in the Braunstone West Social Centre, St Marys Avenue, Braunstone LE3 3FT on the 2nd Saturday in the month, 2.00pm for 2.30pm - 4pm approx. (there is on-site car parking). Coffee/tea is available from 2pm and is self-made.
The Branch holds 3-4 days schools a year (10am – 4pm).
We also hold Stitch and Chat sessions fortnightly on Friday's at the Braustone Civic Centre. Please contact Susan Flint (Chair) for more information.

Competitions are held yearly and "blind judged" by members at our Christmas Social every December. Textiles must be completed since the previous December (i.e. no more than 12 months old). Categories are as follows:
Embroidery Cup - for the best overall finished piece of original design
Watling Cup - for the best finished piece started at a Branch workshop
Kit Cup - for the best finished piece worked from a kit or chart.
Memorial Cup - for the best finished piece worked on a theme chosen by the Chair. This could include a competition title from either Regional or National competitions. For 2019 the theme is Celestial.
Best in Show - chosen as favourite piece from all competitions.
